Our family has been selling Hatch chile since the early 70's. It started with our founder, Reymundo Martinez, bringing chile for family and friends, and it has grown into bringing truck loads of chile each year.

Our family has land in Hatch New Mexico where some of our chile comes from. Chile can't be grown in the same place year after year as it is hard on the soil. We grow chile on our land one year, then cotton the second year, then alfalfa the third year, and then can grow chile again on the 4th year. The cycle repeats again and again.

Every year, we start taking orders for the Fresh or Roasted Green Chile on July 15th, so don't miss out on our limited stock before we sell out. Our Green Chile products are available are Mild, Medium, Hot, Xhot, and XXhot, as well as Yellows and Jalapenos in the hot variety. We set pick-up dates each year in August and September.

We do not ship Red Chile products during Green Chile Season. However, we can ship our Sun Dried Red Chile pods and powder to you from November to June. If you want to pick up your Red Chile products rather than have them shipped, we MUST schedule a date and time for pick-up through email (chile@elreyfarms.com).
